Author reports on a research exercise, which – trying to maintain the autoethnographic perspective – she made in her own kitchen. She reaches for the tools of sensory ethnography, listens to suggestions of the anthropology of food, to describe herself as a researcher in space, the researcher in relation to things. The topography of the kitchen, the objects it contains, the gestures and practices associated with them become a contribution to cultural comments and analyzes.

Dr Aleksandra Krupa-Ławrynowicz. Etnograf, antropolog kultury. W swej praktyce badawczej zajmuje się kulturą współczesną oraz dziedzictwem kulturowym zapisanym w krajobrazie i pamięci. Terenem jej badań jest przede wszystkim miasto i miasteczko. Bierze również udział w projektach badawczych poświęconych rekonstruowaniu historii lokalnych. Bliska jest jej perspektywa antropologii zmysłów, w ramach której opisuje preferencje i praktyki jedzeniowe Polaków oraz analizuje kulturowe znaczenia i funkcje dźwięków. Sprzyja działaniom interdyscyplinarnym i humanistyce stosowanej; prowadzi warsztaty edukacyjne, realizuje projekty animacyjne.
