The poetry of Adam Kaczanowski is highly appreciated in literary circles, so it is striking that there
is almost total lack of critical reception of his work. The autor of Happy end is in fact rooted in the ideas
developed by Anglo-American writers, and that’s why Polish academics have some serious problems with
this poetry. The author of this paper is going to focus on the issue of “onirism, which stands firmly on the
gound” — that is one of the most important strategies in Kaczanowski’s work.
