The porpose of the article is to discuss various aspects of dreaming which Sapkowski used to create
the world of Witcher. Dreams are often used as a tool to reveal facts and to predict future. They frequently
show real events and exhibit connections between characters. When Sapkowski commands his characters
to dream, he reveals past, present or future. By using Freud’s dream theory the author of the article is
going to analyse dreams and nightmares of Witcher’s characters. The main aim of this article is to verify
if dreams of fictional characters could be analysed as if they belonged to real people.
