“Love, which will awake the death sleeping inside you” A few words about dreams and obsessive desires in the Rafał’s Wojaczek poetry
The article presents the functioning of principal and oneiric themes like a night, a cradle or a rose
in Wojaczek’s poetry. It shows also connection between the love, death, dream and writing. The main
character wants in the same time love and death. Dreaming is a kind of concealing, an escape from the
mortal body and a frightful reality. One of the most frequent dream in Rafał Wojaczek’s poetry is a dream
of his own death. Dream is a state of mind, which creates spiritual harbour, the guarantee of security, but
it is also an attempt on constitute the new (female) identity of the subject. In an oneiric zone it is possible
to realise the dream of androgynous connect with a lover. In the lyric, which involves dreaming themes,
love is created as a feeling full of tenderness, gentleness, concern of the other person. The subject showed
in such a way is opposite to performing women in other literary works, which are based on women’s bodies.
Dream is a sphere of a fascination with femininity. Woman is presented a main subject of poetry.
