The Dream as a Main Element of Composition in Dom Dzienny, Dom Nocny by Olga Tokarczuk

Article concentrates on different aspects of dream and dreaming in one of Olga Tokarczuk’s most
well-known novels. It analyses the presence of dream both in the content of the text and in the formal
structure of the novel. The final thesis of the essay is that dream is the fundamental element of composition
that can be found on every level of the narration. It creates subtile game with a reader and is a filter
through which we can interpret the book.
