The monograph contains 15 texts by authors from various academic centers, which with their content fit into the area of social problems of the theory and practice of physical education, as well as recreation and sport. They treat physical activity along with health promotion carried out, inter alia, by in school physical education, extracurricular activities, as well as as a part of additional human activity as an important factor of his holistic, multidimensional development in various conditions. Several authors pay particular attention to this aspect in the conditions of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The presented results of the authors' research diagnose the pedagogical reality of physical, sports and health education, indicating possible directions of their changes.
