The article deals with Tadeusz Peiper’s film writings (1947–1963). His constructivist theory was mainly concerned with the formal aspects of the cinema (color, sound). However, a very important role was played by nostalgy for harmony and community (Ferdinand Tönnies). It was articulated in the spirit similar to Martin Buber’s philosophy.

Aleksander Wójtowicz – historyk literatury, edytor. Pracuje w Instytucie Filologii Polskiej Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie. Zajmuje się dziejami europejskich ruchów awangardowych, współczesną sztuką eksperymentalną oraz edytorstwem literatury XX wieku. Autor książek Cogito i „sejsmograf podświadomości”. Proza Pierwszej Awangardy (2010) oraz Nowa Sztuka. Początki (i końce) (2017), współredaktor monografii, edycji krytycznych i popularnych. Publikował m.in. w „Pamiętniku Literackim”, „Ruchu Literackim”, „Przeglądzie Humanistycznym”, „Kwartalniku Filmowym”.
